2017 ITPC Planning Summit

The ITPC Planning Summit brings together academic, technical, and business leaders from across the System.

Invited participants take part in sessions throughout the day to identify strategic areas of focus for IT and discuss opportunities to improve administrative processes and IT systems.

Summit Overview 

Opening Sessions
In the morning opening session, participants will learn about the ITPC mission and process including how ITPC work supports the U of I System Strategic Framework and university strategic plans. This overview will also include feedback from constituents and various review groups on suggested improvements to the process. The day’s discussion will build on how the ITPC process can further support System and university strategies as well as enable process improvements and enhanced capabilities for business process efficiency and effectiveness.

Morning Discussion - Enhancing Capabilities for System Business Process Efficiency and Effectiveness
Attendees will discuss enhancing capabilities for administrative business process efficiency and effectiveness. This discussion will focus on how improvements in areas such as document management, workflow, self-service, and data analytics can increase productivity and success for faculty, students, and staff.

Afternoon Discussion - Redesigning U of I System Processes and IT Systems
Attendees will discuss ways to improve the user experience for administrative business processes and systems. This discussion will focus on describing the ideal characteristics of university business processes and administrative IT systems as well as identifying areas of improvement to consider for future IT and ERP systems.
